SCRUM

WeWebU OpenWorkdesk is developed using the agile methodology SCRUM. The development work is organized in so called sprints with a fixed length of usually 3 weeks. After some sprints a shippable and tested version of OpenWorkdesk is delivered and both the source code and an executable web application will be provided for download at http://sourceforge.net/projects/owd/ .

OpenWorkdesk 3.2.0.0 Sprint 12

The latest version available for download is sprint 12 of OpenWorkdesk 3.2.0.0.

Attention: There are still some issues with version 4.x of Alfresco ECM. Please use Alfresco 3.4.x for your tests. You may download it here http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Alfresco_Community_3.4.e_Download/ .

OpenWorkdesk Community Edition Sprint 12 features the following highlights:

Stories

  • CMIS: As a USER I want to see date/time in my client's local time zone format.
  • As a USER I want the same behavior of the ExtJS/Ajax file tree as in Windows.

Improvements

  • Edit Properties: Provide Configuration for "Nothing Saved"message
  • Improvements of OWD Configurator 3.2.0.0
  • The length of attributeBag column is read from the respective database table.
  • Button text of ExtJs DatePicker component can be localized.
  • Upgrade to Sencha ExtJS Version 3.4
  • Correct and consistent UTF-8 support in JSP pages.
  • Switch the OWD Eclipse Configurator from Eclipse 3.4 (Ganymede) to Eclipse 3.6.x (Helios).
  • CMIS with Alfresco: Sort values in dropdown lists in alphabetical order.
  • eFile-Management: Keep preview properties of physical root folder when an virtual sub-folder is opened (instead displaying empty properties).

Bug Fixes

  • CMIS: Refresh of result list properties after "editing properties" is not correct"
  • No "Save All" button for several documents added via "Add documents" plugin, if ObjectClass is predefined
  • Parameter <FolderSortCriteria> is ignored in the new OwObjectTreeViewEXTJS tree
  • EditPropertyList parameter is missing for "Checkin" plugin
  • OwExtJSComboboxRenderer.renderEvents does not register functions calls
  • The vertical order of the Ajax result list columns is not persistent (randomly displayed)

Sprint 6 of OpenWorkdesk 3.2.0.0. It features the following highlights:

All Editions

  • Users can filter hit lists in Browse and eFile management
  • Switch to Eclipse project environment means that developers can directly check out the source code to an Eclipse development environment
  • Administrators can easily change the look and feel of AJAX components
  • In the OpenWorkdesk Configurator administrators can select the OpenWorkdesk Edition they want to configure and afterwards have only access to the respective features
  • CMIS: Improvement of security handler allows to connect OpenWorkdesk to the CMIS compliant repositories of Alfresco, EMC (documentum), IBM (FileNet P8 5.0 and CM 8.4), Nuxeo, and OpenText
  • CMIS: It is now possible to add several documents at once when Alfresco Aspects are used
  • CMIS: Drop-down lists for indexes are alphabetically ordered
  • OWD can display a long username instead of an acronym
  • Improved stability and performance of AJAX components

Pro and Enterprise Editions

  • New e-mail plugin for sending both attachments and links
  • New drag & drop applet that runs on JRE 1.6 Update 22 and higher and is better integrated in AJAX components
  • When adding documents via drag & drop Advanced Document Viewing can now be used to preview all document types, e.g. MS-Word documents

Enterprise Edition

  • Single sign-on (SSO) for IBM CM8
  • Administrator can define which properties are displayed as system properties
